Maxi Schreier und Felix Fischer arbeiten seit 2016 als FourStringCompany zusammen. In den vergangenen Jahren haben sie sich intensiv mit dem Zusammenspiel zweier Geigen, Partnerakrobatik und einer Loopstation auseinander gesetzt.
Während einer SüdamerikaReise 2017 (Circo do Monte, Circo do Capão (Brazil) Circo del Rivera (Uruguay) Proyecto Migra (Argentina) entstand eine erste Straßenshow, die auf weiteren Straßenfestivals in Europa seine Weiterentwicklung fand (u. a. Festival de la Rue Aurillac (FR), Pilzen Busking (CZ), Pflasterspektakel Linz (AUT). Sie unterrichten und forschen in Partnerakrobatik und Physical Theater an nationalen und internationalen Projekten u. a. “Rural Circus Lab” Artmosfera, Zaragossa (ES), „encontar mano-a-mano“ am Central de Cirque, Barcelona (ES), Sailing Circus Project “Plastic Arts”, Patras (GR).
Im Fokus ihrer künstlerischen Arbeit steht die Suche nach Verbindungen und Authentizität im gemeinsamen Spiel. 2020/21 forschten die Beiden an der UniArts Stockholm und im Anfibia Programm Bologna weiter an den Beziehungen zwischen Tanz, Gesang und Sound. Zukünftig wollen sie sich mehr in der regionalen Theater- und Zirkusszene in Mitteldeutschland einbringen und mehr in die Arbeit an Bühnenstücken eintauchen.

The Four String Company was founded 2016 by Felix Fischer and Maxi Schreier in Halle
a. d. Saale (Germany). After a few trainings sessions in partner acrobatics and the fact that both play violin, it was clear for them to work and research more about this rare combination.
After 5 months bike travel through South America they started to work intensively together. The first production “4 Strings, 2 Acrobats & 1 Loopstation” was inspired by the rough streets of Brazil and Uruguay. Making street theater and seeing people’s reaction has always been a big creation tool for them. Looking in each individual spectators eye became the motor and inspiration to work on sharing and communicating human emotions through music and movement.
Working with professional outside eyes and in residency they experienced playing on stages in different formats (street, varietés, theatres, co-work with other companies & artists, events…)
In the years of the pandemic they have been diving deeper into the combination of different performing arts, experimenting with musical equipment & sound effects as well as vocal techniques.
